Perhaps it is h-h's lenten penance? One should never underestimate the ingenuity of a religious fanatic! (or gamelan performer)

Have you tried the Urban Dictionary? I heard about this a while back and was AMAZED at for instance the multiple meanings of N/T. You will without doubt find it more quickly than I will.

This was posted before reading #1223.

I have never thought of looking for a Terry Pratchett website - I must try that.

Very good eclipse out there. The moon has just about gone now,but it hasn't turned orange as they said it would, not yet anyway.

I know this is totally irrelevant to all that has gone before.

I was planning to be in England from March 8-20. Then the Baselians called me. I'm now going to be in England from late on March 12.

Reassuringly not as in Wozzeck:

Just been standing in the front garden with my bins looking at the eclipse of the moon - thanks to posts on here and elsewhere.

I only appreciated how dark the moon had become when the sliver of light appeared at the left hand edge.
