A quick look at the calendar confirms that (a) it is a US calendar  Undecided and I will have to wait until next month for Mothers Day (US), but good wishes and celebrations to all Mums in the UK.

Don't want to detract from the party mood, but for some reason, I've been reminded extremely strongly of visits to the South Downs today. It could be the weather, the feeling of having eaten too much (slightly flavourless) Sunday lunch, but I feel like I should be stomping around somewhere like Amberley feeling rather cold, hoping it isn't going to rain, requesting that we go down to the harbour later, and looking forward to one of those wonderful teas that only your granddad can make!

I was thinking of growing garlic this year. Does anyone know if I`m too late for planting? The idea of raspberries is tempting too, but think I may have left it a bit late. I love raspberries!!! Yummm.

I saw blackcurrant and redcurrant plants in a Aldi as well as raspberry. I think now is the time to plant it since they sell it. It might be too early because the cold snap is coming. I decided against buying because I have no time. However, I bought strawberries (two plants) and chives.
I am going to plant strawberries in a pot and chives are in the ground. I already have a herb there (hardy variety).
Ian's message is not complete I think.
