I saw a cat this morning going to the loo and burying it!!!!

That's what they do, in my considerable cat experience, Milly - assuming that "going to the loo" is not literally what you mean

With a spade?Huh   Grin

try not to think of it so much as a problem, but an opportunity. It's important to be fed by the right human. Particularly when you make your wishes known.

No, I'm not a complete idiot. I'm only a halfwit. In fact I'm actually a catfish.

Miaow! I'm back! I've licked all the butter off my paws and now I'm free-range and online. Smiley

Actually, after keeping Zoe and Katie in for 2 weeks, I did then let them free and very happy they were too, exploring their new garden and viewing the neighbouring moggies from a safe vantage point, on top of shed rooves (oofs? Undecided). However, on the 3rd evening of freedom, Katie disappeared. I plastered the lamp-posts with Lost posters requesting people to check their sheds and garages but had a sneaking suspicion she'd be heading for her old home, which is less than 2 miles away. 8 nights later she was back in her old house, very pleased with herself! I wonder how many miles she actually travelled to get there? I suspect she travelled at night and slept during the day. She's a good hunter so I knew she'd survive on mice, and the days were sunny and warm and the nights mild so I wasn't too worried. But of course, I did worry a bit... She'll have to stay there now, there's no point in bringing her back, she'll only do it again. But it is tempting to fit her with a little camera next time to see the route she takes!

Hi MJ. Does Zoe like having the place to herself, or is she missing the company?

I'm glad Pixie hasn't tried what Katie did, it's about 140 miles back to where she came from.

Hi MabelJane,
I found you here (with several people giving direction).
I am so glad you are back, free range and with internet access.
Cats will settle in a new place soon as will children too.

I hope your teaching is going well and your children are doing well.

CATS!! After having spent half an hour calling and calling for one  of the beasts, checking out all the usual hiding places (and some of the unexpected ones), getting myself into a bit of a tizz (OMG  a fox/cat hater has got him)  what do I find eventually?  A totally chilled out moggy, lazily sticking his head out of my new bag with a 'Hey man, what's the fuss?' expression on his furry face Roll Eyes Little bugler(s). They get us every time!

It was so chilly this afternoon when I was online that I put a fan heater on in the computer room, then I went downstairs, shutting the door behind me. When I returned, Pixie was no longer on "her" armchair but was hiding on the floor behind it. The sound of the fan must have scared her Sad
