Ahhh! She's lovely, Baz. Elderly cats have such boney backs when you stroke them don't they. Give her a tickle under the chin from me.

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Baz, does she watch a lot of the Sky at Night.  She seems to be doing an impersonation of Patrick Moore.

And they can still jump higher than I can (proportionately)

Well observed Tommo - she has a recurrent problem with the left eye that sometimes needs treating with eye drops. But she hasn't spent nearly a century peering with one eye through a telescope, nor has she spent 50 years wearing a monocle.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Good Evening

Funny thing is that that is how she "normally" looks (minus the monocle)!  Grin Grin Grin

Pixie's on holiday for a couple of days. I bet she was quite surprised when I picked her up and put her in the back of my van, then we drove off on the motorway. She was meowing quite vociferously for some time to let me know that she wasn't at all happy about things. But she's been enjoying herself this evening and has been very playful, chasing a bit of string. Pix pix to follow when I get a chance to upload them.

She's not as black as she looks in those photos BBM, she's a grey.

I've had to keep her in the bedroom with her tray while we're away as there's a resident cat - we introduced them to each other last night which went pretty well. However when I went to the bedroom about midnight....

Window wide open for a while Sad At least she didn't do it at 3 o'clock in the morning.

When it was bitterly cold a few days ago and I noticed the cats huddled together to keep warm, I made a temporary makeshift 'nest' out of an old cardigan and a cosy throw for them to use until the heating got going. It got an immediate vote of approval and they settled in. What was perhaps not so sensible of me to do was to arrange this on a table ... Several days later the place has now warmed up and where are the cats? Yup, on the table Roll Eyes I fear I may have lost ownership of the table until the Spring comes! Cheesy

So hang Mort, let me get this straight.  You made something for them and... this is the bit I can't get my head round... they used it as you intended them to?  Have you been drugging them or something?   Cheesy

I rather suspect that if I had a heating problem and arranged a nice cosy area for my cat he'd completely ignore it and go and sleep in the airing cupboard.

He was a major pain this morning.  I've been home for 2 days and that's usually the point where he gets very hyper and attention-seeking.  Little does he know I'm off again this evening...  Can't wait to see what he'll be like on Thursday night...  Sad
