I am in the Happy Room. My cold has gone. I listened to Copland's 2nd Symphony tonight; early Copland with light stravinskian touches, but I've never heard it before. The front room is ready for painting. AND I've been to the pub.

Thank you for your good wishes, T-P. What more could I wish for anyone than a day of sunshine and music? (says she who burns if the clouds part for a moment )

Kitty, the sun will shine again (I don't believe we have sun and you don't). By the way I printed your poem and reading it often. I don't think the poetry is so good, but I like the meaning. Janthefan. Bach is great. I am enjoying it too. Happy we are who have Bach to listen to. All my love to you. I have to run though.

Isn't anybody happy today? I am; I've just had lunch in the garden because it's a glorious day. I've got some of these gold-lace primulas: Son's girlfriend said they look like little bumble bees - I do see what she means. I have proper primroses too, and the first tulips are out. Also I've discovered that when my Freeview box goes wrong, which it does from time to time, if I unplug it and then plug it in again - it works! I have no idea why and don't much care. I've just edited this because I found a better picture.

I am happy today. We also have a beautiful day, many trees are blooming. There are not many leaves yet. It looks like the picture I was not very happy a few days ago, but one has to hope that other interesting things will come my way.

This may count as Slighty Guilt Ridden Satisfaction, rather than Happy but ..... I set out this morning in a rather grim frame of mind to do some banking and also to entrust some pretty important documents to the Royal Mail (jitter jitter). I also needed to buy some socks. Yawn. I consequently returned home with some new bedlinen, several items of clothing and some frivolous adornments for my ears. I feel this may be balanced out by the purchase of some pruning shears and a packet of grass seed. Socks? What socks?!

As far as I am concerned there is no need for stockings any more, bare feet are the order of the day. May be one will need fancy stockings for special occasions. This is very frivolous picture.

T-P's earlier picture looks like what my Dad used to call "The Yellow Bobble-tree" We are truly privileged to be vouchsafed a glimpse into Morticiaa's Sock-Drawer!
