Once again the weather has changed (hot and brilliant sunshine after dull and rainy) and I have a headache. I have tried ibuprofen and am now trying aspirin.

May be you are tired and need a little nap?

I don't know what's up with me today. Breathing deeply is hard (at all when moving), and when I bend over I can feel something move. It feels like air, which is none too comforting as my sister recently spent a month in hospital with a pneumothorax (when air escapes from the lung into the chest cavity). Wanted to go to the Prom today, but don't feel up to it.  Angry Cry

I'm hoping it just goes away before tomorrow; if it doesn't I really shall be in the grumps.

eru,

That sounds like you should be going to a Doctor.  Best not to leave that sort of thing to chance......

I agree with Tommo - I had pneumonia last year and was very, very ill and it started with a shortness of breath.

Whoa there, eruanto, that definitely sounds like the sort of thing you take to the doctor rather than just waiting to see if it goes away. At the very least you might want to ring NHS Direct (0845 4647) to see what they advise.

Yes. As Ron said recently in another context, leaving some ailment alone to see if it goes away is unlikely to be a good idea. I know, I've done it myself sometimes.
