Morning all. Gosh, good thing I sent my knee double last night! You never know, I said, and sure enough I never did.

Tim, I'd be very alarmed indeed if anyone chose to begin their morning with a sampling of Ollie's Greatest Hoons. Smiley

Well, iTunes shuffle has charmingly just presented me with Xenakis's Waarg, so it could hardly be more alarming...

Errrrrr - morning everyone!  Shocked

What a refreshing sight in the morning, to see Les Genoux d'Ollie. Puts me in the right frame of mind to write a bit more about Sicilian male nudes and their musical representations ( http://www.islaternura.com/APAISAJES/Autores/GaleriaGLOEDEN/EntradaGLOEDEN.htm ), as well as issues of aestheticism, fascism, camp, and so on and so forth.....

Well, maybe a little later.......

Anyhow, most excellent to see all and sundry last night. A provisional suggestion - how about doing the same on Thursday 19th April? Also wondering if any of you 'up North' are in the vicinity of Leeds, where I will be for a concert on April 25th?

Time for some more strong coffee, methinks. One RB is now just embarking upon a two-hour train journey to Uxbridge (*sniggers*).

Looking forward to seeing some of Ollie's snaps when he works out how to load them onto the computer Wink

That's got to be a Kroenenburg 'hic', Richard. I can recognise the pong a mile off.  Grin But you're Welsh! Don't they do Brains at the KH?

Were you wishing our Richard to be consuming this?

It would be nice if our misstress would invite some of you for talk and play. Who knows. I first have to try to meet her.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'd be careful of her, t-p.

She is very scary, Ian. If you knew her you would agree. But one never knows and she might like you (especially if you play her piece). She is very determind woman (it is not usual for a woman to be like that). But she has good points to her and one can find some similar interests. She is prominent on contemporary music scene here. You may find something in common.
was thinking more in terms of this

I don't think I can be, unfortunately. But if I was I'd highly recommend the following:

Incidentally, can anyone remind me why I have a small hole in my right arm? I do seem to remember someone sticking a toothpick in it, but that still begs further explanation ...

I should be well on my way to being rid of this albatross around my neck by that point, and well on the way to having three shiny new letters after my name...

Ph,D in Russian sounds like Drink and Wait. With my bad memory this is how I remembered it when I first time heard my other half mentioned it so many years ago.

I think both Ollie and t-i-n need to regale you all with the full details of their stories of their partially voluntary impalement upon toothpicks.......

Ah, the joys and hidden delights of London life....

I cannot understand what one can do with a toothpick. It sounds scary if one can make a hall in one's arm. It must be very painful experience. Can you explain?

Unfortunately my memory of the episode is a little hazy. It's strange - I remember most of the evening perfectly well, but I'd completely forgotten the toothpick episode until I just took my jumper off and noticed the mark on my arm.

All I can remember is that a guy came up to the table and said something, I don't remember what, and that me and someone else sitting next to me (Ollie?) then both held out our arms, into which the guy stuck a toothpick, to see how long we'd let him hold it there for. He seemed to be impressed by our bravery.

A picture does exist of the aforementioned episode, on my mobile phone, but I know even less about how to load such things onto a computer than Ollie does. But let's see - the impaled pair just might make it into a visual on these venerable boards....
