Oh dear. I seem to have missed the last train west and ended up instead in the lair of the evil Pace. Well, a good time was had by all I think (which is just as well in my case because the tender ministrations of London Transport caused me to arrive an hour later than I'd planned to), and those of you who didn't make it for whatever spurious geographical reasons were sorely missed. I'm sure there'll be another opportunity. Don't know about Birmingham though. Where is that exactly?

Oh cripes. I can't resist the temptation to post my 200th post.
Nothing sensible to say, other than that life's too short to be explaining the niceties of row-construction in Webern's String Quartet op. 28 at 01:45...
Good night for the last time today (or possibly not if I'm saying good night before midnight tomorrow).

Ollie not only showed his knees (at a rather early stage in the evening and almost too enthusiastically some of us couldn't help thinking) but there is now photographic evidence of their almost transcendent beauty. With a bit of luck these images will be shared with the world before too long.

Ok then ... here we go...

It must be quite hard finding someone to explain them to at that time of the morning Smiley.

Imagine to wake to the beauty of this knees?
I just did. I can not believe it that you decided to meet? I can imagine to have a good time with all of you, but to meet? Well, stranger things happed in life. People now travel and some people can go on tour. I don't feel that far away in time of airplanes.
It would be nice if our misstress would invite some of you for talk and play. Who knows. I first have to try to meet her. In any case we are not going to mention to her that she was not too conductive to my introduction to contemporary music. She has her pluses too.
Make sure you have those globes so that I can have information.

I really wish I could have been there but I was about 200 miles away at the time. I bet those knees look even better in real life.

Morning all. A fine evening - I hope Ollie doesn't take offence if I save listening to his CD until a little later in the day, when the head is a bit clearer ...
