Ollie not only showed his knees (at a rather early stage in the evening and almost too enthusiastically some of us couldn't help thinking) but there is now photographic evidence of their almost transcendent beauty. With a bit of luck these images will be shared with the world before too long.

You'll be relieved to know I didn't, Milly. It didn't seem that sort of pub. Tusks plural if you don't mind. There's only one of them that has to be handled rather gently after the unfortunate incident in the undergrowth. No, I was just embarrassingly gushing and star-struck at being surrounded by composers and musicians. It didn't seem quite the occasion to challenge anyone to a bit of tusk wrestling.

Was Lord Byron there George? Did everyone look as you had imagined they would?
I have a mental image of the posters on here which is probably totally inaccurate. Can't wait to see Ollie's knees. Hoooooooooooooooooooooon!

George,
You really are too kind! You should not feel so inhibited by such a collection of musicians and composers when they are clearly just a collection of bums and drunks!
So glad that you look like George Clooney. There would be no justice in the world if you looked like George from George and Mildred.
Hope that Catherine Zeta was as good as expected.....?

I'm guessing that a good time was had by all? I've had a very pleasant evening with my supervisor with me polishing off most of a bottle of wine. I feel like I deserve it after giving two lectures while my tank was registering 'empty'. Time to clear up and go to bed. Hopefully, I'll be able to attend future meetings. Perhaps a little further north next time? Birmingham sounds good - (good excuse!)

A very good time? Is that all typed or is there a certain amount of cut and pasty going on?

Oops.
My so-called computer is having problems talking to my so-called camera. I blame Bill Gates. It's good to blame Bill Gates. Gives one a certain feeling of resistance to, er, something. I'll try to post some photos at some point tomorrow morning.
In the meantime many signals are telling me that bed might be a good idea.
Hoon and Ho.
cheers
Ollie
