I'd just like to record informally that -see Rant room-I have reached the final form for my 1000 deadline. Its now just after 3 after an evening of R3 with Cliff the amiable cleaner dropping in about 1. The New xRd is eerily quiet bar the odd displaced wally. Earlier my fears that a tribute band was going to erupt into my paperwork idyll proved unfounded, so pretty good Mahler 10 instead intrerrupted by texts chirruping. I could not have got through this without you guys earlier on in the Grump room. Thanks Muchly Muchly. I may be home by 5.30 before staggering in for noon with a following wind.

The squeamish should look away now (that includes me, but that could make typing a tad tricky Wink) As a result of whatever critter it was that bit me the other day I now have one hell of a big blister on my ankle. I've managed to head off any infection by using copious amounts of Tea Tree, but this monster blister is really painful. Earlier today a friend (I'm not sure about that designation now) suggested the 'needle and thread treatment'. This involves threading a needle and pushing said needle through the (painful, remember) blister enabling the gunge to be pulled out along with the thread. <THUD> Apart from the possible risk of infection, I really don't feel like inflicting extra pain on myself.  Sheesh.

Mort, daunting though it sounds, your friend's suggestion is perfectly ok (and it only hurts for a moment). Boil the needle in water for a couple of minutes to be sure of preventing infection. Then it'll be 'Ahhhhhhh...' - relief! Cool
