I borrowed the moniker from I know not whom elsewhere on this board. I am not a re-incarnation of anybody. I live in Illinois. It follows.

So what do you prefer to be called, with my apologies?

Illinois is a nice place. I drove through it on the was from Ca to Toronto.
There are parts of Illinoise that I liked.
I think life in big cities everywhere is difficult, but small towns are nice.

Sorry to intrude on your conversation.

Illinois - isn't that a very windy city?  My mother used to sing a Doris Day number in her cabaret act years ago - something about a windy city and Illinois.  Can't remember it now.

Milly, I always thought that Chicago was the `windy city`. But what do I know? Nuffink. Sad

Chicago is a big city, but it is not all Illinois.
There were small places that I to remember. We avoided Chicago on advace of AAA travel agent.
Illinois is beautiful place.
People say that Chicago is a good city. They don't say the same about Detroit, but it is in another state.

I took geography myself. So now I may have no idea what I'm doing, but at least I know where I'm doing it.

Richard, this is the Waffle thread. And t-p was waffling beautifully in that post so your sarcasm is unjustified. Roll Eyes

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Is there life after Illinois? Time will tell, as the Greeks say. I live in the red diamond called Urbana on this map:

. We have a university there. Twas brillig and still is. Hence Illinois. The 's' is usually silent.

Morty is what I will say, then which is better than turning Morticia into morcilla. Completely different thing.

CD,

The morsels of morcilla look rather tempting. Unless you`re vegetarian. Which I`m not. Cripes, does that mean I may become a morcilla in my next life? Gulp!
