There were small places that I seems to remember. We avoided Chicago on advace of AAA travel agend. Illinois is beautiful place.
A fascinating contribution as always. Richard, this is the Waffle thread. And t-p was waffling beautifully in that post so your sarcasm is unjustified. Just a little question... why is it always sarcasm if a comment - however nice - is made about t-p. ? Just a little question you understand, not a criticism ... heaven forbid. A

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Chicago is a city in the state of Illinois, I believe.
Is there life after Illinois? Time will tell, as the Greeks say. I live in the red diamond called Urbana on this map: . We have a university there. Twas brillig and still is. Hence Illinois. The 's' is usually silent. Morty is what I will say, then which is better than turning Morticia into morcilla. Completely different thing. Extraordinary! I had no idea Illinois had so many red diamonds in it. Is it a popular place with card players? I thought Texas was the reigning champion in that department. Since the U. was (and still is) "simply brillig" where do you send all the slithy toves? or are they completely uninterested in further ed. (as in the UK)?

I really don`t wish to create a tornado out of something that isn`t even a storm in a tea cup, but there is a great deal of verbal horseplay here and a fair amount of sarcasm hurled around. I didn`t detect any malice in what Richard said, just sarcasm that he has admitted to. Why is he out of order? Have I missed something?

Illinois has a mild climate. No tornadoes have been reported in recent months. Neither does it have poisonous snakes. Pyjamas are cool and are recommended wear once the witching hour strikes.
Pyjamas can be purchased readily, and cheaply. at most department stores.
Bananas to accompany may be purchased at your local greengrocer.
