t-p, I must inform you that I'm by no stretch of the imagination a cheap man. (And the money I save with a 2-in-1 shampoo wouldn't pay for many CDs...)

Does anyone remember those Perishers cartoons that used to appear in the Daily Mirror? Certain stories used to come round regularly and one was about trying to wash the dog, called Boot. He would always put up a struggle and on one occasion he walked off saying: "I don't want a shampoo. I prefer the real poo that's me." I couldn't find a picture of Boot in the bath but here he is doing something musical:

Are you sure 2-in-1s are the preserve of the straight man? I can predit a firm upsurge in sales on that basis. Er, I mean 2-in-1 shampoo, in case that isn't clear. I guessed you did. Gay men don't usually have any objection to - er, we're not meant to talk about s*x any more are we - er, the other kind. Anyway, Lush, yes. I had one of those shampoo bars once. I'd completely forgotten about them. It was quite nice actually, though I do find the smell of the shops a bit much.

The two-in-one bottles are seen in sports bags.
Especially common at swimming pools and public slipper baths.

I remember back in the old days one would always shampoo twice and condition once. Nowadays, this doesn't really seem to be so much the Thing To Do, but I remember feeling there was some despicable conspiracy behind the recent 2-for-1 deals with the shampoo and conditioner bottles being the same size.
I use dove S&C , and biotherm shower gel &c..

Has anyone tried the 'reviving' shampoos ?
They correct over conditioning.
They work rather well if not themselves used too often.
Balance in all things, my lovelies.

<alarm bells emoticon: is there one?> Alison, is it possible to overcondition?? Whenever my hair seems to be less than perfectly silky I always put more conditioner on - but it's true, this often doesn't help ... Maybe I should actually be putting less? Eagerly awaiting your advice ... t_i_n

Personally I'm awaiting the marketing of the "Smooth Shampoo Classics" CD which is sure to be a commercial success and will bring untold silkiness to millions of listeners in the bathroom. Can anyone imagine what title tracks may be found on it?

Can anyone translate from French La Fille aux cheveux de lin!? I don't know that piece.
Can we extend our discussion of shampoo to other beauty products, like forexample, eye liners, blushes, foundations etc? There is such an big choice of products and difference in price. There are eye shadows and mascara. I have a foundation called near nude. For those who are not knowledgeable foundation is what one put on first on your face when making a face.

Thank you, IGI. I know that piece. There are no other composers that were inspired by hair.
