I'm completely harmless and genial, Draco. There was no intention to bruise. But there do seem to be some very bizarre theories being dreamt up over on the other boards involving BBC agents provocateurs, new posters with the number '7' in their ID numbers being undercover agents with a licence to trash and dark hints of goodness knows what else. It did seem to be getting just a little bit potty Smiley

Draco,

I`m getting giddy now with the speed at which threads and posts are being removed. Is that the second or third thread you have had closed? Utterly ridiculous! Keep your teeth firmly clamped around Aunties ankles, my man.

My ID over there begins with lucky number 7. I can assure I am not connected to Roger Wright.

Scott,

there was  a poster called Cockney Rebel. Or was that you originally? What is really disturbing here is that the Mods can re-set board names. If I have got you right? And it is odd about the influx of new posters, a postive flood of them. Never seen quite so many new names before.

WHY change my screen name, though? The censorship on the BBC messageboards is getting beyond the joke. I can understand if my screen name was offensive, but "The Cockney Rebel"? Maybe they removed it because it contains a rude word, which relates to the male gentile?  Roll Eyes

Morticia,

I WAS the poster in question! After all this time, the Moderators have suddenly decided my screen name is inappropriate. Pathetic or what?

Yes, the Mods over there can change screen names!

I wonder if I will get my legs slapped for that?  Roll Eyes

Not necessarily, but you'll probably not be eligible for a back-end upgrade either. Michael and John have had one, though....

P.S. What exactly was your rude word which relates to the male gentile? Obviously not Kosher!

Michael and John remind me of MP's: award yourself a huge payrise and sod everyone else!  Roll Eyes

p.s In answer to your question, I think perhaps Malcolm Laycock, Willy Fogg or winkle picker might give you enough clues!  Grin Tongue

I don't know why anyone's still bothering over there. Maybe R3 will relent and restore it to something like its original glory. I can't see that happening though, and, as things stand, it's just a waste of everyone's time.

I have been modded over there three times this week for being "off topic". I do find it unfair that Radio 1 have got loads of boards dedicated to the station. Most of these boards are full of idiotic kids and trolls.  Roll Eyes

But if we all pack up and go, r, then they can just claim the place is surplus to requirements and remove it for lack of use, which would be the ultimate tragedy, surely.

Well, the main thing is the people, is it not, rather than the messageboard itself, and here we are still, most of us, so I wouldn't see it as particularly tragic if TOP closed down - it's just another symptom of this strange and seemingly selfdestructive direction the whole of R3 seems to be taking.

Morticia,

I WAS the poster in question!

Scott,

That`s what I thought. Cripes, looks like I was wise to change my ID over there. Having been banned for life from posting on the MBs because of a ridiculous incident (another poster got banned along with me), given the current climate I decided to have `plastic surgery`. They could still `disappear` me if they choose though.....
