The queen appears to be dribbling I got a book for Christmas that mentions him - it also mentions lots of people who decorate their houses to excess over the festive period. It's really quite tasteless what people do and the electricity bills must be enormous

A fairly modest example that appears in my road in the middle of November each year. I did go past one evening this Christmas and the decorations were all turned off - perhaps they really were worried about the cost.

Clearly there is stupid and then there`s, um, Jeremy Clarkson! Prazzock! I expect Clarkson can get his money back via the banks as he should be able to prove he didn't authorise the debit, but it would be a nice gesture to say that the charity could keep the money

And to be fair - well, I would also have thought you couldn't get money out of someone with just their account number. Or since as John mentioned Clarkson will probably be able to get his money back, you probably can't, but I would have thought you couldn't even get as far as they apparently got.
That doesn't in itself lessen his impressive reading on the prazzockometer of course.

Ollie, it`s probably a rather sore point with me. Having had my identity nicked some years back, people can go as far as this person did with JC, and further. Whoever it was caused havoc. Merely by having my bank details they were then able to apply for credit cards in my name. They ran up thousands and buglered up my credit rating as well

I don't care what happens to Clarkson. He runs over foxes for fun and boasts about it on the tv. He deserves all he gets. He's a big-mouth. Serves him right.

I wouldn't dream of suggesting otherwise. (I hope you all saw my cryptic clue in #258.) This side of the channel it's quite normal to give people your bank details for them to pay you... oh dear. Sorry Mort.

You couldn't make that up, George. Too unrealistic.
