The former, but the latter is equally relevant when Boris holds up the Beatles to make his 'argument'. Stick that one in your mop and set fire to it, Johnson.

Well, let's not forget Pompey: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/6521603.stmOr Papua New Guinea: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/5327984.stmI wonder if he shares the same speech-writer as Prince Phillip? Or perhaps he is the speech-writer for Prince Phillip?

You have heard the one about the brain surgeon who was showing a prospective client around the clinic to choose a new brain for his possible transplant?
"This brain in the deep freeze belonged to a famous architect, and it will cost you £1,000.
"This next brain belonged to a famous writer and will cost you £1,500."
"Now this one is special - and it will cost you £1,000,000."
"Why suddenly so expensive!!??" asks the client. To which the brain surgeon replies - "well, it was Boris Johnson's brain, and so it has never been used!!"
(I usualy make it a conductor's brain, but in the circumstances ...)

I have to say it, that sending dog muck through the post is not only not grown up, but unfair and strategically counter productive. Unfair, because who ever opens the seriously unhygenic package will not be the odious politco in question, but some menial who may not even have any great sympathy with their boss. Counter productive because it will only make the recipient self-righteous and confirmed in their views - "if that's the sort of people who disagree with me..." There must be better ways.

the Fab Four's time in Germany I used to watch the Famous Five on German television when I was a little kid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NWa-6u002w&feature=related (poor quality) Quite bizarre to hear the German language in a typically British series.

I really did think you were joking! Have to say in that case I do agree with DonB. And even I agree with Don B, but special rules apply for warmongers and their staff, I'm afraid. We're talking about a man who can laugh about the murder of 500+ women and children in Fallujah - and for scum like that, no rules apply.
