Or a whining shit?
I thought, at first, that's what Richard wrote! I forgot my coat, I shall depart without one then. Hold The Front Page! John reveals he finally has a sense of humour.

I've always had a sense of humour, Anna, it's just very different from yours

Reiner, I'm glad I'm living a life without worrying about this stuff I live a simple life, listen to music, read books, watch my kids grow up John, your ability to be able to live this 'simple life' is, I'm afraid, inextricably linked to the very processes by which the West subjugates the rest of the world in order to maintain its own standard of living. And in large measure the events in Iraq were all about this.

Yes, I know that Ian, some ancestral branches of our inter-racial family were clearly subjugated, but it hasn't stopped us being a family in this present day and making a life in this evil country. I think I Gotcha too Ian

Well, Anna, relax, I'm still happily married - but with two kids, nice house, nice car, nice job, some people here think I'm a bad person. In my working life I've probably paid this government £300,000 in taxes (today's money), now that is bad

Regardless of how we describe this country, the current government, which is acting in your name as a member of the electorate, is/has been acting in a such a way that will prevent that option for many others elsewhere in the world, not least because they'll be dead. The actions of a democratically-elected government, and their consequences, are all of our business, whether we like it or not.

Well John, glad to heard it
I am poor and Welsh.
It don't get worse than that do it?
And NuLabour screws you and takes your last 10p?
But at least we have Dylan Thomas to comfort us. Bless. Gossamer Beyon. She should be on Big Brother innit?

Yes Ian, I KNOW all that but I was born here, choose to continue to live here. I'm not going to give up my family, my life; it's not selfish of me to do what I can for them.

Who's asking you to give any of that up? You were asking why some of us worry about the issues being discussed in this thread - I'm saying why they are issues for anyone living in this country.
