Oh.  I have to admit I edited the first post.

There will be 2 more sets of polls after this one especially for reasons such as those.  Ie Tommo and others not seeing this one in time.

For those who missed the debate as it unfolded later yesterday evening (when it turned into a bit of a spat), and are disinclined to apply to the 'Argument Area' to view it, there were some interesting posts made about what style of moderation should prevail here and a fifth nomination by Tommo, seconded by BobbyZ.

Thanks IGI,

I haven't returned anything, too depressing to read. But I'll post an update.

I would be very interested to know where all my posts on this thread have gone.

They have been removed without my permission.

OK, so I see they have been classed as arguementative... a ( slightly amusing) picture I posted from a railway station about the 'Pace of London'? my comments that I suggested we should keep John and Michael? the comments that I liked the board the way it was ? the comments that I wanted one vote for three people at once?

Well......... you lot I 'm off. Scrap amongst your selves you deserve who you get.

A,

This is an example of John W's moderation style. I would call on all candidates to kindly outline where they stand in terms of moderation style. Ollie and Richard have already given us some initial thoughts and Ron, shortly before I headed up to bed, gave his perspective. I'm sure that any such debate can be carried out in a civilised manner.

I should be a moderator because i am a LORD,, though, would it not be easier, just to stop all moderation and thus have a hyde park corner type situation ?

Ian,

This thread is for nominations and seconds.  If you are putting yourself forward as a candidate, then ok, otherwise please use the argument area to continue your discussions from last night.

Please note the argument area should now be available to all, the future of thos obviously to be decided by the new moderation team.

Perhaps you should change the title of the thread then, this is not what it says at the top. It implies it is a discussion about the situation .

Ian,

The issue isn't with that last post, as it is generally quite valid.

The issue is that I do not want the thread to deviate as it did last night.  The fact that the resulting posts got moved to the argument board is really an arbitrary decision, and by no means reflects the content.  Remember that the argument board is now open to all.
