Yes to the Bernstein music for Peter Pan!  Smiley The Korngold is a more dashing, swashbuckling piece...

Korngold
Ravel – Mother Goose
Bernstein – Peter Pan
Prokofiev - Cinderella
Tomlinson - Aladdin

A good one, IGI. I wonder whether Rossini was waiting in the wings with his version of Cinderella. Robinson Crusoe is sometimes played as a pantomime so we could have had Offenbach too.

Thanks, Tony. I'm ashamed to admit that I'd totally overlooked Signor Rossini in my list, which is unforgiveable as Cenerentola is a super piece, especially appropriate in a pantomime connection due to Dandini's appearance in the operatic cast. I'd forgotten that Robinson Crusoe is often a panto as well... don't know the Offenbach, but can imagine it's none too serious!

That's not the only reason Offenbach could have been on the list Wink

Aha. I see he wrote an 'opéra-bouffe-féerie' in three acts, titled Whittington!   Cheesy

A new year and time for a new connection. Can you link these four composers? It's not a common word link but a theme that runs through the respective compositions...

Vivaldi
Milhaud
Britten
Richard Strauss

I was going to say:

Vivaldi:  Four Seasons
Britten:  Four Sea Interludes
Milhaud:  Four Dances
Strauss:  Four Last Songs

Back to the drawing board!!  Or it it:-

Vivaldi:  Spring
Britten:  Voice le Printemps
Milhaud: Le Printemps
Strauss: Reve de Printemps
