NIET to both of you.

There's something we're looking for which appears in a different form in the music of each of these composers, maybe in a title, maybe not, maybe more tenuously. The team might need to be augmented at some point.

Howells - My Lord Sandwich's Dream
Scriabin - Reverie

Not dreams, Anty. A hint - it's not a common word connection.

You kn ow how something written mirror fashion and sounds compeletly different backwards. JSB was well known for this, especiaqlly in his Art of Fugue.

JS Bach
Tippett
Carter
Dowland

I was going to say something about guitars (Syringa by Carter, and the songs for Achilles by Tippett) but I'm wondering whether 'tears' have anything to do with it or Orpheus.

There's a Carter Double Concerto (Piano/Harpsichord) too, though the only double I can find for Dowland yet is the use of a double top string on his lute.....
