Trying to buy Blackpool Rock for the Head of Special Branch to take back to his children, since you ask, Milly According to the Radio Times, which I was studying in depth just now, Dr Who will be switching them on.

You do indeed have a point, despite regeneration issues George...and frankly I love 'em all. Except Christopher Ecclesbone...weak...

"Big Ears" if I recall the words of Captain Jack Harkness correctly.

Is anyone else as impressed as I am by Biroc's ability to turn up for the first time in a week, just in time to reply within 2 minutes to a mention of Dr Who?

The city is a process which always veers away from the form envisaged and desired, ... whose revenge upon its architects and planners undoes every dream of mastery. It is [also] one of the sites where Dasein is assigned the impossible task of putting right what can never be put right. - Rob Lapsley

The blasted chameleon circuit is a wonderful idea. But what do you do when you've forgotten what it disguised itself as? I went all over town about three years ago, trying to get into - a dog kennel
- an unusually large tree
- several mailboxes
- a telegraph pole
and sustained injuries once or twice to prove it.

Doctor Who? On a phobias thread? There's only one thing for it (apologies to all those of a nervous disposition):

While we are on Dr Who, I see that David Tennant is down to do Hamlet at the RSC next year with Captain Jean-Luc Picard, no less, as Claudius.

Then J-L P's back home, GG: Patrick Stewart was a stalwart of the RSC in the late sixties/early seventies, as I'm sure you know. Claudius isn't exactly new to him as a role either: he played the part in the BBC Shakespeare marathon in 1980. Still, two Sci-fi heroes should be great for box-office, besides which they're excellent casting: Tennant's dangerous mix of humour and seeming on the edge of madness give him several heads' start over most of his generation as the Dane.

Indeed so, Ron. He's been back home with the RSC for a year or so now playing Antony and Prospero last winter. The Hamlet is directed by Greg Doran who never seems to put a foot wrong (IMHO). It all bodes well! T'Pol as Ophelia and we are there. (Whoops. This is meant to be phobias, isn't it. Apologies.)
