Take care Ron and have a good time. Good morning all on this cold, grey and rainy day. I'm just dreading the major storm that has been predicted for Sunday. Apparently it's going to be a good 'un according to my newspage! The lot....80 mph winds, structural damage, stay in on Sunday night.... Anyway, so far so good. Busy day ahead. Listening to god knows what jazzy track at the moment on R3. Awful.

Thanks, Mills. I'll have to hope that the storms don't affect my flight back early on Monday morning.... Hope all your structures stay secure.

Gre and drizzly here, just checked the Met Office, Wales and South of England are due to get the worst of it, 60% risk of disruption to transport, trees, buildings. Why is it on weekedays, when I have to get up, I could sleep forever but on Saturdays I am bright eyed and bushy tailed at such an early hour?

I'm a bit worried about it, too, because I have old trees that I don't want to lose - plus damage is expensive! It does seem that the south will get the worst of it, though, so Milly and I may be all right , and anyway the Met Office tends to exaggerate warnings ever since the "hurricane" incident.

I am not at all hopeful, we never do well against the Irish, I think it's going to be a game I will watch hiding behind the sofa!

Morning all. Sigh. I did not want to wake up at 5 o'clock and not be able to get back to sleep, but I did 'snot fair! The rain is chucking it down and the wind is blowing, perfect weather for being snuggled up in bed listening to it and feeling warm and smug. Still, Jonathan Swain has been keeping me company. Gawd bless yer, Jonathan! Have a good day chaps. Yawn.

I woke up at 5 o'clock, too, and am equally irritated about it. In fact I am so cross I can't think of anything to say. Will probably cheer up later.

My bedtime seems to keep getting later and later. I always hope that one day it might cycle round to a normal time again (you know, twenty-four 26-hour days in the space of 26 "normal people's" days, or something like that), but I'm not sure if that will happen ...
Anyway, I've nearly finished my editing job, but not so nearly that I can decide whether to carry on working or to get some sleep before I make the last few changes.

Hope your day gets better, Mary. I would console myself with breakfast, but I'm not hungry Mornin' tinners! Edit. Good heavens! I've just looked out of the window and it's snowing. Fairly gently, but it's still snow. Gosh!

Gosh! What a difference a few miles make ... No snow to be seen here. It's just started raining though.
Right. One more sentence then I'm going to bed for a bit. Might put the radio on though - anything good on at this time? I'd quite like to hear CD Review actually, I always miss it, but it's not quite time yet, is it?

I was woken at 5.45 by youngster with nightmare but managed to settle him down for an hour or so. I'd gone to bed reasonably early so don't feel too bad.
Mort and Mary, I hope you feel better as the day goes on. Perhaps you could take a "biddy nap" in the afternoon? I'd love to be able to do that because I have no trouble sleeping at any time, but obviously I can't do it these days because of the child.
Beautiful and sunny here and the wind seems to have dropped. Freezing cold temperature though when I went out to feed my birds. Everywhere looks beautiful anyway.
