If Elliott Carter had died at 31, we wouldn’t be hearing the music he’s writing now Amazing, Holmes!

I am not in Kansas, but it sounds like in the beginning of Dorothy's adventures here. I hope not to be sorry for not cutting pine hedge. I never saw anything like that. The wind is ata least 100 km an hour (probably 120). I am sitting in the house like that third pig hoping that because the house is made out of bricks it will be all right.

These piano trio publicity photos are getting sillier and sillier!

These piano trio publicity photos are getting sillier and sillier! Looks like a quartet to me! Either you miscount, or you're being a little bit anthropocentric (or perhaps simply miscanicular). Let's hope it's the former. But, in case you need convincing, see Musical Dog Sport Association.

I hadn't seen the dog, incre (I'm a bit below screen level as the computer's on my lap and I'm under a sleeping bag), though I probably wouldn't have counted it even if I had.

We're also here in the midst of a ferocious gale that has been raging through the night and shows no sign of abating. It's still dark but I've had a quick look out and amazingly I think my fencing panels have held. Don't know about the roof yet. I've heard a lot of ominous bangs and crashes and just hope that they've been coming from next door (evilemoticom). Well I bet they're wishing the same.... Got to do the school run so that should be interesting!

Very noisy windy night here, too. I'll examine the garden later. Meanwhile I have to go to the supermarket, dodging flying tiles and branches. It's a bit scary.

In my rash yesterday I did not read what the picture I posted was about, but thanks to members who know I was amazed to read: MDSA
The Musical Dog Sport Association defines Canine Freestyle as a dog sport in which training, teamwork, music and movement combine to create an artistic, choreographed performance highlighting the canine partner in a manner that celebrates the unique qualities of each individual dog. It is built upon the foundation of a positive working relationship of a dog and handler team.
Now I want to see the competition. What kind of music do they use? Perhaps they use classical music.
Thank you everyone. I am glad to see you here again. It is much quieter today.

I feel really guilty now. The crash I heard in the night was next door. There's a huge strip of their guttering that has fallen down at the side of my house. So far so good here, but the day is yet young.

Well, The Famous Five was (were?) four children plus Timmy the dog (Though I think Enid Blyton was inconsistent in this matter, as I'm sure The Secret Seven also had a dog, which didn't count as one of the seven).
