Been away from the MB for, oh, all of 32 hours, and missed you all!  Sad So thought I'd weigh in with something meaningful and profound:

Observed on a railway station platform, just yesterday:

Toilets Closed

Sorry for Inconveniences

Now, is that just witty, or the product of an insufficient understanding of English?  Grin

Wot?

Here's one from a small hotel in Newtonmore, up the A9 towards Inverness: they're obviously aware of the global need for water conservation (in the Highlands?) and have probably seen notices in other hotels; but did they actually read it back to themselves before printing it?

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

Spoil sports!!

I saw this in Richmond, Surrey earlier on today - NO DOGS ON GRASS.  As if! Any dog worth its Bonio would favour a sweet sherry and a pinch of snuff.
