Terry Beard, La Monte Beard and Mrs Magenta.

As is clear, Richard is pulling our proverbials (?)

Here's Charles Ives - one of the top 20th century composers. Don't spoil this by pointing out that the beard appeared after he composed most of his music.

Fascinating! Is this something that often happens to male composers? does it mean they have to shave more frequently?

There's something creepy about those eyes!

We have long had a niggling doubt that he whom we presume to be the critical authority Sydney Grew may in fact be his good friend former colleague and composer of unplayed symphonies Sir Granville Bantock in extreme old age. But it is not is it? Perhaps one of the ladies here with an eye for these things can tell us.

Here's Charles Ives - one of the top 20th century composers. ... the beard appeared after he composed most of his music.
Here's a young Charles Ives after completing his first masterpiece:
And Delius, experiencing sudden hirsutism.
