The less famous portrait of Claudio Monteverdi

A viol introduced me! (Not a video-dulcimer)

I mourned Dolce Vita... I cuddle a vermin, too.

Not that it is of the slightest importance but just curious....is "By the hair of my chinny chin chin......." really a sticky topic ?

I think it became sticky when John moved some posts from 'New Musical Connections' (a sticky thread) to it.  A sort of sticky inheritance.

I would apreciate it if it could be made unsticky.  But not the most urgent thing in the world......

I think that explains it.

I've made a suggestion on the Suggestions board that we could have a Coffee Bar spring clean or something to tidy things up a bit. There are so many threads that probably deserve sticky status, and a few in the sticky section that probably could do with having the goo rubbed off.

What are the thoughts of the ladies (eek) here on facial hair? I remember once reading a poem written by a woman giving a certain metaphor for the experience of kissing a man with a beard, but I won't repeat that here....  Grin

Thoughts of some females on facial hair:
  • It feels like kissing Aunt Marge
  • Villains seem to favour beards to hide behind
  • Superman doesn't have one  Shocked
  • Kiss an ashtray or a coir doormat  Huh

Could you cite the poem even?

Ashtray? That's a bit harsh.  Car doormat maybe more realistic though :/

When it comes to kissing, I don't mind a proper beard; it's stubble that gets on my nerves.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard her Alice?
There seem to be lots of operas by big names popping up: Chin, Saariaho, Benjamin to name but three recent culprits.
