Ah lots of repeats - those old BBC habits die hard....... Will WTSiT have live guests as Mixing It did I wonder?

Slow traffic here today.  Must be the holiday...

Great show again, only spoilt by some technical hitches during the Law/Lloyd track.  A great selection of music, though (although I fell asleep towards the end of the Panda Bear track).  The mix for Track 5 seemed to place the vocals too far forward for my ears, although I was listening with my iPod 'phones to my bedside radio with the flimsy aerial dangling from my outstretched arm.  Ahh the things I do for the cause...

The Panda Bear was okay, but didn't really develop any of the individual themes which made up the 'suite'.  They just came, stayed a while and left to be replaced by something else.

Have a good holiday,

Unfortunately I had to miss last nights show - v.annoying (and I didn't even get time to set anything up to record it).  Sad
It looks like it was a good one too (some very intriguing titles). What were the technical problems?
I will definitely make sure I catch next weeks show!

This really is good news, especially since  I managed to miss it last night. Will the reported problems with Law and Lloyd track be sorted out for the 'repeat'? I have family connections with one of them and would not want to get caught out having missed the item entirely. ;-)

Excellent, almost fantastic news!

Almost, because I do tend to listen to Dave Pearce Dance Anthems on a Sunday evening - and I am neither proud of nor embarrassed by this q;o)

But I can always LA to the first hour.

I MUST get that Internet Radio set up!

Many thanks Mark - I'd better pay resonance a few more subs...

Fabulous news.  Much better for my sleep pattern  Smiley

... What were the technical problems?

Well, I guess the programme had been recorded to CD or tape.  During the second Track it cut out completely, then came back intermittently like a skipping CD does.  It then went silent, and a brief snatch of Mark's introduction to the programme came on.  More skipping, then normal service was resumed.  Whether they had a back-up, for the remainder of the programme, or not I don't know.  If so, I guess they would use it for the repeat...

Rik,

i've asked Resonance to check this out. We deliver the programme as a 128kps mp3 file with an audio CD as backup. But it shouldn't have skipped. My master version doesn't. Hopefully it won't for the repeat on Sunday.

Ah - good (well not good in some ways) I thought the technical hitchy bitty was my ineptitude with the old MD recorder. Really good news about the repeat as, being old and decrepit, I have trouble staying up beyond 10.....

Anyway thanks again to Mark and Robert for an interesting show, I hear so much through WTSiT that I'd never get near to normally.

Another great show, and the radio reception was excellent, for a change.

I particularly liked the Hanne Hukkelberg and Aronas, but everything worked so well together (with the possible exception of the laptop-generated white noise in Track 6 (?)).  If you missed it, listen out for the repeat on Sunday...

Yes, another good show. The internet 128K MP3 stream was OK but did suffer from a Left/Right channel imbalance, the Left audio level being very low in comparison to the Right. This seems to be a common glitch on Resonance FM impacting both the FM transmission and internet streaming sides. The problem has been noted and discussed on their Forum.

It's at times like these you miss the rock solid wireless transmissions from the Beeb!
