No new programme this week. A repeat i'm afraid.
We're recording 2 new shows later this week. The next 4 weeks will be all new progs.

No need to be afraid! I'm happy with repeats! You could repeat the last 16 years SFAIAC!

Cheesy Fine I can catch up with the part I missed when I lost the conection! It's getting expensive listening though, I'm presently awaiting delivery of  Panda Bear cd.

Panda Bear - yep, remember that. Top track! where's that wish list...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000NA27TE/sr=8-1/qid=1176936619/ref=olp_product_details/026-0915526-9198005?ie=UTF8&qid=1176936619&sr=8-1&seller= comes up with some good reviews. And doesn't even pick Good Girl/Carrots as the best track. Anyone else got any comments?

Fabulous show last night, probably the best Resonance programme so far (IMHumbleO).  The reception here at the periphery of the metropolis was excellent, which definitely helped.

1 People Like Us & Ergo Phizmiz: Ghosts Before Breakfast (6.22)
2 Githead : Drive By (3.40)
3 Nina Nastasia & Jim White : Our Discussion (3.00)
4 Randy Wormhole : 18 Wheeler (Pass It Over) (5.54)
5 Bjork: Earth Intruders (3.19)
6 Thee, Stranded Horse: Churning Strides (4.22)
7 Monstrance: Winterwerk (3.52)
8 Dimitri Voudouris: Praxis (13.14)
9 People Like Us & Ergo Phizmiz : Beyond Perpetuum (5.26)

I particularly liked the new Bjork track and was pleasantly surprised by the Monstrance improv.

Great news too, Mark, on the download possibilities.  FWIW, you look to have over a thousand hits, at your site...

Yes a great show that one - the Dimitri Voudouris: Praxis extract / track was a fabulous listen: one for the collection I suspect. Out of interest wher do other folk source their CD's (for those of us who still do buy CDs). I'm using Boomcat who seem to hold quite comprehensive stocks of WTSIT 'type' material. Any other suggestions out there?

WHERE’S THE SKILL IN THAT - PLAYLIST - ResonanceFM Weds 2nd May 2007

Any opinions here?

I desperately needed some sleep last night, so had to forgo this week's first play.  Hopefully, I will catch it on Sunday or download it at some future point.

A propos nothing at all, when was the last time any of you heard a 15 minute track on any radio station?  Well done, Mark and Robert.

I would download them if you can.  I am very grateful they are now available that way.  I have been listening all week at work.  A little sanity [or insanity depending on how you look at it] at the workplace!

As usual - great playlist. Got to confess to wincing when i saw Eric Truffaz in the setlist prior to listening. I should have had confidence! I actually quite liked that track, if it was 'derivative' then it "derived" (in a Debordian sense) in the right directions!

Julie Feeney - what a find!

& Jamie Woon - pop soul voice (in a show with throbbing gristle-que musique concrete).

+ 15 mins of shakuhachi - stick that in in your zen pipe and smoke it, late junction!

ecstaticly eclectic - bravo!

The downloads are wonderful. As much as i love resonance (and I do) wed 11 is often too late for me and sunday evenings aren't that good for me either.

I agree about Julie Feeney.  She was at the Troubadour in London last Fall.  I had a ticket but sadly missed the show.  I was told she was wonderful.
