THe programme at 21.00 looks intriguing, too. I have a feeling i will not be tuning in to Radio 3 beyond Performance on 3 this evening. Well done Roger Wright.

Is this definitely on?  A podcast or 'Listen Again' can't come soon enough for me.  After a long day at the office, I fell asleep 5 minutes into the show last night.  The first track played sounded excellent, though...

Are there playlists posted somewhere?

Yes, I also look forward to the potential 'podcast' option.

Yet again, my Windows Media Player stumbled and lost the 128K MP3 stream about 50 mins into the show - not too sure if the problem was local to my PC or some glitch at the Resonance FM MP3 source. The result was 10mins of silence on my MiniDisc 'Time Shift/Listen Again' recording. Just hope I didn't miss any important announcements at the end of WTSiT.  Sad

No problem with the 128k stream here. I drifted of into the land of nod and woke just befor 03:00, by which time the WAV being saved by Total Recorder was too big for my ancient verison of Sound Forge to edit, so i have to use Gold Wave, which I am much less used to. Still, it chopped out WtSiT well enough. It's now sitting on a hard disc awaiting further editing and litening. Drop me a line via my contact button at the bottom of the FoR3 site "contact us" page and i will see what I can do to help.

I'm using a nice piece of free software called VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) which (with admittedly a fair bit of fiddling around with the command line) lets you dump the MP3 stream directly to a file (with a time limit, so I got it to stop after 65 mins) AND play it at the same time - so I recorded it to MP3 file and to my cassette deck last night. I was checking the VU meter on the tape deck all the while and it kept going, so hopefully I didn't lose the stream. I've listened to the first 15 mins of the show in the car so far, and it sounds like another good one.

Hi,

Remember we have the sendspace.com store, if Mark doesn't mind folk sharing bits or all of the show.

Mark and Robert - nice show last night, you'll always be Mixing It to me but the abbreviated WtSIT isn't too much of a mouthful. Earlier discussions here about a podcast  - is this a definite? Also are playlists posted somewhere?

Don't forget folks - Roger Wright on R4 Feedback tomorrow defending R3 Board axings and why he decided to toss our WtSIT hosts overboard. Should be a bundle of laffs............

Wotsit?  Wetsuit?  Smiley

At the risk of annoying everyone, could someone please post the playlist for WtSiT?  If there's no official website, I'd be happy to put it on my blog.  Hell, it'd increase the hit-count and have the knock-on effect of inflating my ego...

Interesting reported quote from Andy Kershaw's Desert Island Discs, regarding Roger Wright's invitation for him to join R3 from R1.  Apparently he liked the programme because "I never know what's coming next".  How times change.

Have a great weekend,

Yes, I heard the Kershaw quote too - wry smiles all round. RW was on his second instalment of Feedback today. Apparently R3 is a room, and Mixing It was an old chair that he couldn't fit in any more, despite it being one of his favourites and most comfy too. So it just had to go. Not entirely sure why this excuses axing a popular and useful broadcast from the R3 airwaves but Roger was jolly pleased to hear it had a new home (he would be listening too !!). Lets hope he can dip into his pockets too and stump up some cash for Resonance so that the new home can be maintained.
